ML4000R	High Fill Pre-base Binder		White      Liquid	25±2	Formulated for roll coating as an additive to fill and repair damaged leather grain surfaces with open scratches and unwanted scars. Exhibits minimal shrinkage after drying and promotes maximum adhesion and finish flexibility. Can also be used as a base coat additive to promote additional coverage and grain uniformity while maintaining a fine finish break.

Polyurethane Binders

AB-90F	Aqueous Poly- urethane dispersion	7.0-9.0 Very Hard	Clear    Liquid /    Anionic	33±2	A very hard aqueous NMP free lightfast polyurethane polymer with excellent chemical, abrasion and stain resistance. When properly formulated, AB-90F also offers excellent gloss. It is well suited for a variety of coating applications. Typical application is for automotive, furniture, shoe leather and leather goods. AB-90F can be crosslinked with AM-1330XL Crosslinker to further enhance chemical, water and stain resistance, block resistance and wear properties.
DM-831	Aqueous Poly- urethane dispersion	7.0-9.0  Soft	Milky   Liquid /   Anionic	35±2	Inherently dull, solvent free, lightfast polyurethane resin with exceptional physical properties in terms of abrasion resistance, flexibility and water resistance.  Can be used in base coat or topcoat formulations to produce low gloss coatings with soft touch and good surface handle without the need for external dulling agents. Fillers-Dullers

High levels can be used, but limits should be determined by physical testing. It helps in hiding defects of leather surface.  Can be used for all types of leather finishes.
AD-1328	Resin free Silica duller	7.0-9.0	Whitish    Liquid	21±2	A low cost resin free silica based duller with excellent high temperature color change resistance. Used to reduce gloss, increase coverage and improve stacking , embossing , and handling properties of water base polymers and base coats.

Rheology Modifiers -Thickeners

AM-71	Based on       thixotropic	3.5-5.5	Whitish     Liquid	15±2	An alkali swellable, thixotropic type of thickener for viscosity control of all coatings. It is activated at lower pH range than conventional acrylic thickeners; therefore it imparts better stability to the mixes by minimizing pigment flocculations and color drift of the formulation. Can be used either on its own or in combination with AM-80 for a low shear/ high shear balance of viscosity for roller coat applications.  The water resistance of the coating is affected to a lesser extent than other types of thixotropic thickeners.
AM-75	Rheology modifier	3.5-5.5	Whitish     Liquid	9±2	A unique product that combines the properties of an alkali swellable and associative thickener in one product. Can be used effectively to control viscosity and flow of base coat and topcoat formulations. AM-75 is activated at a lower pH range than conventional acrylic thickeners; therefore it imparts better stability to the mixes by minimizing pigment flocculation and color drift of the formulation.  Can be used either alone or in combination with AM-80 for a low shear/ high shear balance of viscosity for roller coat applications. The water resistance and physical properties of the final coatings are affected to a lesser extent than other types of competitive thickeners.
AM-80	Hydro-  phobic  Chemistry	N.A	Trans-     lucent     Liquid	32±2	A Rheological additive based on a new hydrophobic chemistry different from the ethoxylated urethane thickeners.  AM-80 provides efficient thickening independent of pH and maintains its viscosity under high shear. AM-80 is designed for roller coater or other high shear applications but it has proven to be very useful in base coat and color coat airless and air-assisted spray applications.

Defoamers

Care should be taken not to exceed levels especially in topcoats.
BS-271	Silicone based chemistry	6.0-8.0	Milky     Liquid	36±2	A defoamer package based on silicone chemistry for use in aqueous base coats and topcoats. Because of the unique chemistry and structure of BS-271, it is less likely to cause surface defects such as fisheyes or pinholes. It is also an effective defoamer for eliminating bubbles in roll base coats and foam in pigment dispersions. Typical usage levels are 0.1 to 0.25%. Care should be taken not to exceed these levels.

BS-100 is bound sufficiently to provide good topcoat film properties without sacrificing the performance characteristics of the top. It is crosslinkable with AM-1330XL Crosslinker for improved solvent resistance and toughness and it is compatible with pigments for pigmented topcoats and surface enhancement agents for modifying the feel.

BS-566	Acrylic / Poly- urethane Co- polymer	7.0-9.5	Whitish     Liquid	34±2	High solid dull binder for topcoat use, it can be used in any combination with JK-535 to provide a variety of degrees of dulling. BS-566 is bound sufficiently to provide good topcoat film properties, without sacrificing the performance characteristics of the top. When used in combination with  JK-535 binder, topcoats with exceptional flow, hand feel and physical properties can be formulated. Is compatible with pigments for pigmented topcoats and surface enhancement agents for modifying the feel of the leather. It can be cross-linked with AM-1330XL for improved solvent resistance and toughness.

Feel Modifiers

AW-26	Fine  Quality  Synthetic  wax	6.0-8.0 / Soft	Whitish     Liquid /     Anionic	47±2	High solid, high efficiency plate releasing wax for use in base and topcoats. AW-26 improves the wet rub properties of the finish and does not detract from the flexibility and abrasion resistance of the base coat.  When used in leather finishes it improves fullness, handle and smoothness of leather surface. Imparts natural and nice warm handle, level absorption, and improves filling and hot plating properties of base formulations. Suitable for use in all types of leather finishes.
AW-858	High molecular weight silicone dispersed in water	8.0-10	Liquid	60±2	Unique high solids water based additive for use exclusively in water-based topcoats at levels from 1-6% on total topcoat mix. Imparts a very pleasant feel and mellow handle of a silky and waxy in nature. In addition AW-858 will improve abrasion and wear resistance for automotive topcoats.
AW-1198	High molecular weight silicone	8.0-9.0	Whitish     Liquid	29±2	A unique silicone additive for use in automotive topcoats requiring “non-squeak” properties.
EN-601	High molecular weight silicone dispersed in water	6.0-9.0	Liquid	33±2	A unique feel additive for use exclusively in water based topcoats at levels from 2-10% on the total mix. It imparts a very pleasant feel of a silky and waxy nature and mellow handle.  Very compatible with most topcoat materials without causing white crease or white haze. It also improves the flow and water resistance of the finish. Suitable for all types of aqueous finishes.

AM-1091	Based on Poly- isocyanate	Clear Liquid	98±2	A unique, solvent free water dispersible aliphatic isocyanate based Crosslinker with a high degree of compatibility in a wide range of base coat and topcoat formulations.
AM-1330XL	Based on Poly- Isocyanate	Clear Liquid	80+2	A unique high solid, low odor isocyanate based crosslinker with excellent compatibility/ dispersability in a wide range of base coat and topcoat formulations. Exhibits a high degree of functionality to enhance physical properties of base and topcoat formulations with good pot life performance.
XL-1219	Multi functional Polycarbo- diimide	Milky  Liquid	42±2	Unique multifunctional, water based polycarbodiimide crosslinker used to enhance the physical properties and performance of polyurethane and acrylic resins. Improves the water resistance, solvent resistance, block resistance, and long-term durability of the coating. It also reduces the tackiness and improves the cut through resistance. Use levels may vary with the type of system used, but in general 0.5 to 3% is typical addition level for most systems. It is solvent free and features a low viscosity for ease of incorporation, non toxic, curable at room temperature, and has excellent pot life characteristics.
